Journaling- Do it!

Journaling

It’s possibly what your life could use more of…

“Journal writing is a voyage to the interior.”
— Christina Baldwin

Hey everyone! If you aren’t much for keeping a journal or you’ve been thinking about getting started then I would like to encourage you with this—life gets loud. School, work, friendships, family, emotions, doubts, pressure, goals, ideas—it’s a lot! But what if you had a space to slow down, clear your head, lower your stress/anxiety, and even possibly better hear from God? That’s what journaling can be!

It’s not just a “diary” thing.

It’s where you can…

  • Process your thoughts without judgment

  • Understand your emotions better

  • Find peace when life feels chaotic

  • Sketch out ideas & draw out your interests

  • Paste physical photos & notes about them

  • Set goals & track them

  • See how God is moving in your life

  • Make scripture personal

  • Write out your prayers

No rules. No perfect grammar— raw and real.

“I owe a good deal to this journal. By unburdening my mind on paper I feel, as it were, in some degree to get rid of it; it seems made over to a friend that hears it patiently, keeps it faithfully, and by never forgetting anything, is always ready to compare the past & present and thus to cheer & edify the future.”
— Anne Lister

Start small. Start messy. Just start. You’ll be surprised how much healing, clarity, fun and growth can happen when you make journaling a habit!
